It is with great pleasure and honor that I cordially welcome you to the 33rd Annual Congress of the Iranian society of Ophthalmology which will be held from October 28 to 31 at the Razi Convention Center, Tehran, Iran. I hope that this year we can have a beneficial and productive conference worthy of the ophthalmology community.
In recent years, ophthalmology has been rapidly advancing in various fields, and new areas such as genetics, cellular-molecular sciences, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine have been introduced . These will undoubtedly bring significant developments in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the coming years.
As in previous years, the scientific committees of the society have meticulously planned and organized exciting programs in the form of symposiums, workshops, and keynote speeches to update ophthalmologists on new sciences and trends. I hope that these initiatives will receive the attention and appreciation they deserve.
I feel obligated to extend special thanks to all members of the scientific committees who have taken on the heavy responsibility of planning the speeches.
The congress would not be possible without the tireless and sincere efforts of the honorable members of the Executive Committee and the support and logistics colleagues, to whom I extend my deepest gratitude.
